Twank happens in the UoEM thread, Nonnies flood our inbox, we sift through it to find the lulz.

The general tl;dr gist of this is:

  • SR makes a few brief posts (he’s been MIA for a long while) that have something to do with spreading goodness and charity. Got a lot of people to volunteer to do all the work. Denounced all the negativity rippling through fandom. Suggests he not be terribly closely tied to the fundraiser, as blind hatred for his name alone will sully it. Made no mention of UoEM specifically.
  • Maybebymonday decides, since SR is around, it might be a good time to finally get an answer as to why he pulled the story.
  • Isabeausink replies begging The Muses to ignore MBM, laces her post with the most pretentious/condescending vernacular to ever grace Twilighted.
  • After the thread diligently ignores MBM for a dozen or more posts, MBM replies to Isa that she only needs SR to reply, anyway.
  • Mostly A Lurker replies to MBM, explaining that it is an open forum, so she is inviting response from anyone except when the thread is told to ignore her. Maybe she should visit SR’s official website?
  • MBM replies stating that she is only interested in a response from SR, but given the mystery surrounding the story’s disappearance, it seems valid to post it in a public forum where others might also have questions.
  • Zoe123 pops in with a big GUUURRLLLL OH NO YOU DI-IN’T since MBM referred to SR as a “she.”  Also this overdramatic nonsense: “who are you to ask with such a sinister attitude against him and all of us
  • Chriserlyn makes a post suggesting that there is a conspiracy! MBM is trying to provoke The Muses so as to gain merit to report false accusations to the mods.
  • boricua_smv: “Wise words, my dear Gardenia. Sloretinis anyone?
  • More general agreement
  • MBM is all “WTF?”
  • HNWhitlock200 makes EMPHATIC ALL CAPS REPLY IN TEAL: “SON OF A FUCKING BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” MBM has clearly ruined her entire day.
  • Morgan Locklear: “First, let’s not pretend that MBM ‘s question isn’t valid. But her problem is that she’s rude, plain and simple, she’s been chasing budding posters off this thread for ages, (even a mostly blind lurker can see that.)How insulting to think that SR wouldn’t answer all our questions when he can.” Only he hasn’t. “Madam, you are surprisingly aggressive for someone who is attached to a non bullying campaign starting today.” She then tells MBM how to properly make an inquiry to our dear, fragile SR.
  • General agreement with Morgan in the form of “POSITIVITY ONLY DAY!” and “YOU HAVE BALLS, LIKE SR!” and “YOU WERE SO MUCH NICER THAN I WOULD HAVE BEEN!”
  • MBM is all “Oh, so this is why no one likes you people.”
  • WritingBabe makes a particularly lulzy teal deer post in which she recounts a story of being bullied as a child and likens MBM’s antics to that of her oldendays aggressors. “MBM, you may feel a victim, but you’re behaving like an aggressor. and your persistence leads me to tell you that you are on a destructive path. Destructive to others, but also destructive to yourself. Even if you relish the idea of hurting people you believe have somehow wronged you, you are setting patterns of behavior that will never help you thrive.
  • Morgan Locklear: “If you would like to avoid further embarrassment at having your flimsy posts dismantled you may address me privately. But since it is the attention you seek, I won’t hold my breath.
  • MariaVisconti: “SR, thank you for your leadership. You’ve set a precedent on how to address negativity and hatred…. Do something Good! We may not be able to control all the evil in the world but we can , by helping others, stop our hearts from becoming hard, closed off, bitter, and most terrifying….faithless.
  • Twankhard reminds you that SR has made no appearance since MBM’s post.
  • Strange thread-wide “Book Club Meeting” in which they compare UoEM to the classic Jane Eyre.
  • Charlotte Bronte rolls over in her grave.
  • Morgan Locklear: “Jane Eyre, chapter 4, “November, December, and half of January passed away.” Anyone else think of New Moon?
  • Charlotte Bronte rolls over in her grave again.
  • Monamour finally clears up the charity thing: “SR and others are putting together an outtake book raising money for charity in Trayce’s honor as a show of the goodness in the fandom.
  • Twilighted Mod finally comes on to remind them that SR rules even Twilighted with his ginormous group of followers who give them traffic to be nice.

We’d like to point out that we’ve seen far worse mob mentality on Twilighted. On this specific thread even. As notorious as the mob mentality is around there, and since MBM has experienced it first hand herself, we can’t really argue that she didn’t make the post expecting a reaction and hoping it’d be worse.

But it is lulzy, if not for the Jane Eyre comparisons alone.

All the posts are hidden from font page. Click to read them in all their teal deer glory.

Sebastien Robichaud wrote: Dear Everyone,

I just read Mon Amour’s friend’s email and was absolutely shocked.
I have a hard time stomaching the ugliness.

The only way I can think of to combat it is to endeavour to put more goodness out into the world.

So I have a proposition for you, the Muses.

I will write an outtake of the kitchen table scene from the first time Edward and Bella christened it in Umbria in exchange for goodness.

I’m not sure how to organize it. I’m going to need a volunteer to help me do it. But if someone would be willing to help, we can do our own Muses Give Goodness campaign. And I promise I’ll write a beautiful and juicy outtake that will make you all happy.

What do you think?
SR :geek:

Hi Ladies,
That’s great.

It occurs to me that we should probably keep our efforts quiet and confined to the thread.
I don’t want to draw any negative attention to what we’re doing just in virtue of my name being associated with it.

I want to leave it all in your hands from now on so that it can become what you would like it to be. You choose the charity (or charities. I have 3 listed on my FF Profile to recommend) and you decide if you want it to be localized to this thread or go fandom wide. (f you go fandom wide you’ll need to invite other authors.

But it will be best for all if I am just one among many writing an outtake, as I don’t want my name to draw negative attention to what should be a good thing.

It looks like Squally is taking the reigns. That’s good.

I’ll let you all decide the directions you want to go, I just didn’t want to hinder your efforts in any way.

Quite frankly, I was simply hoping for something we could do together to cause a ripple of goodness in the community after so many ripples of negativity. And there’s nothing like a cause to motivate people to action and to effectively change the subject to something positive.

So thanks everyone.
I knew this group could do it, because, well, you’re Muses.

A week ago you made the decision to pull your story, the University of Edward Masen, from and from Twilighted.

Would it possible as a courtesy and show of respect to your readers to please provide them with some kind of explanation as to why this decision was made?

There seems to be a great deal of cynicism and mis-understanding about your decision, that could very easily be cleared up with a message from yourself.

by isabeausink on Fri Oct 01, 2010 6:45 pm

This has been such a great day in the Carrel.I don’t mean to be a Pollyanna. I am far from that. Just ask lil sis.

But Muses. I beg you not to respond to this.

Can we focus on what has been developing today?

I am truly sorry MBM that you have felt so wronged.

We are friends here and invite All to take part in lively discussion and fun. But in this, you will not find a sympathetic ear.

It seems that your last several posts have been designed to create dissent and stir angry feeling.

Please understand that while Twilighted invites all readers to participate, as the Carrel does, passive aggressive behavior will be recognized for what it is.

If you wish to respond to this post, please do so by sending me a PM personally.

I am sure that you will not find the cynicism and mis-understanding here that you speak of. Perhaps your choir resides elsewhere.

I do hope that your anger abates. It does no one any good.

by maybebymonday on Fri Oct 01, 2010 7:13 pm

My question was intentionally directed at SR herself.

There is absolutely no reason for the slores to get involved – SR is more than capable of responding to my question on her own.

mostly a lurker on Fri Oct 01, 2010 7:42 pm

if you post in an open forum, such as here in the carrel, then you are inviting response from anyone else here, slores included.

if you wish to reach/appeal to SR directly, may i suggest visiting his website, on the right side, you will find a way to email him directly and privately. Alternatively, you might consider sending him a PM here on twilighted.

simply some suggestions on reaching out to him privately and directly.
my best,

Perhaps I should rephrase myself.

The only person that I have any interest in hearing from is SR herself because she is the only person that can answer.

And since I’m not the only one who has an interest in the question, it seems…valid… to ask it in public forum where she can respond to it directly to a much wider audience.

I’m kind of struggling to understand exactly what the problem is here, because it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.

by zoe123 on Fri Oct 01, 2010 8:18 pm

Oh , you’re asking the wrong person b/c our SR is HE is not SHE , nevertheless why you feel he has to answer you that , who are you to ask with such a sinister attitude against him and all of us and demanding to get the answer…

by chriserlyn on Fri Oct 01, 2010 8:27 pm

There may be those who try to provoke us for the sole reason of finding a way to report this thread to the administrators with false accusations.

Perhaps censure of the thread is their ultimate goal.

Ignore those who cannot be reasoned with.

“Bato, bato sa langit, ang matamaan huwag magagalit. (Literal transalation: Stone, stone in the sky, whoever gets hit, don’t be mad.)

by maybebymonday on Fri Oct 01, 2010 8:57 pm

At what point have I ‘demanded’ an answer from SR? Let’s see… this is what I posted previously:

Would it possible as a courtesy and show of respect to your readers to please provide them with some kind of explanation as to why this decision was made?

There seems to be a great deal of cynicism and mis-understanding about your decision, that could very easily be cleared up with a message from yourself.

I am clearly a terrible person for asking this question, and in such a demanding and forceful manner, I mean I practically HELD A GUN to SR’s head.

Shame on me.

by Morgan Locklear on Fri Oct 01, 2010 9:00 pm

First, let’s not pretend that MBM ‘s question isn’t valid.

But her problem is that she’s rude, plain and simple, she’s been chasing budding posters off this thread for ages, (even a mostly blind lurker can see that.)

How insulting to think that SR wouldn’t answer all our questions when he can. Madam, you are surprisingly aggressive for someone who is attached to a non bullying campaign starting today.

SR, I never read the last chapter, I worry that this story, as it’s so personal to you is something you pulled for good but I am willing to wait for the answer that I know you will communicate when you are ready. I will not use the excuse that in a void people will make things up therefore you owe us. I will not refer to you as ‘she’ when you have clearly outed yourself.

You see? That’s how it’s done, stop pretending that you are not intentionally stirring the pot and then acting surprised when called out. You are fooling no one.

by maybebymonday on Fri Oct 01, 2010 10:08 pm

Morgan Locklear – I don’t actually know you and nor have I had any dealings with you, and the post that you directed towards me was totally unwarranted.

People don’t post on this forum because of exactly the kind of behaviour that went on here today – where someone asks a question, or offers a statement, and then high-profile people such as yourself come out of the woodwork and attack them for it because they take issue with what is being said.

My post to SR was polite and respectful – which is more than what can be said for the posts that followed it.

I will be reporting your post to the moderators – there is just no need, whatsoever, to deliberately attack another user of a Twilighted forum like that, regardless of what you may think of them personally.

by writingbabe on Fri Oct 01, 2010 10:13 pm

Dear MBM,

This is the heart of the issue, and something that has puzzled me since the days when I was bullied in high school.

It started with verbal taunting, then threats, and culminated in several humiliating incidents, including a physical attack. I wasn’t badly injured physically, though I did spend a very uncomfortable hour in the orthodontist’s chair having my braces fixed, and another uncomfortable hour after that giving a statement to the police since one of the bullies, though still in high school, was 18, and legally an adult.

Earlier today, someone posted about teen suicides in the face of bullying. I could have been one of those kids. It’s not like I didn’t think about it. There was never a sitting-there-with-the-bottle-of-pills moment, but it would take an idiot to overlook the possibility that a way out might be a reasonable response to misery and humiliation.

Let’s not forget the other side of that, too: many of the high-school shooters, including the infamous boys from Columbine, felt bullied, and lashed out in retaliation. That wasn’t my modus operandi, but for others it is.

MBM, you recently presented yourself here as a bullying victim. It’s entirely possible you were, which makes the current need to sow dissent particularly distasteful.

The desire to force the thread to answer to you–to dance to your tune, if you will–reminds me very much of the early stages of my bullying story. The first jabs were mocking. They made fun of me.

But when I didn’t respond as desired, they turned up the heat and began “calling me out.” Everything I said or did in their presence was ascribed with a motive, and given a corresponding “punishment.” The bullies decreed I was not allowed to speak on the school bus. I was required to sit in a particular seat. I couldn’t look at them. And on it went, getting progressively less reasonable until it came to blows.

MBM, you may feel a victim, but you’re behaving like an aggressor. and your persistence leads me to tell you that you are on a destructive path. Destructive to others, but also destructive to yourself.

Even if you relish the idea of hurting people you believe have somehow wronged you, you are setting patterns of behavior that will never help you thrive.

My bullies apparently believed I had wronged them. How? By being in AP classes, by talking about things from those classes, by carrying too large a stack of books home with me on the bus every night.

In my parents’ parlance, they were jealous.

Of the geek? I didn’t believe it for a minute, but with the perspective of time and maturity, I see. They felt threatened.

Clearly, you feel threatened, too. But lashing out at people, stirring discord–none of that will ease your heart or mind.

I hope you find a way to resolve within yourself the feelings that compel you to come back to the UoEM thread time and again to, as Fig aptly put it, stir the pot.

If you don’t like what’s here, what keeps you from simply walking away? Washing your hands of us?

What do you really want?

It’s an important question: do you know the answer?

My bullies made my time in high school a real “valley of the shadow” for me. I never attended a dance. I didn’t trust people who had acted as my friends but joined in with the bullies when it provided them cover. I had a calendar on which I crossed out each day until I could leave for college. They didn’t ruin everything–I did have some fun–but they ruined enough.

Don’t make bullying your legacy, MBM. You won’t find happiness or redress of perceived grievances in stirring the pot. And you’ll waste a lot of energy that could be spent in pursuits that actually will make you happy.

Because that’s really the point: you should be happy, and the UoEM thread, for whatever reason, doesn’t make you happy. And it’s not the thread’s job to make you happy. It’s YOUR job.

Find your bliss, MBM. Don’t waste another minute.

Write to us once you get there, okay?

Yours in the spirit of honesty and greater understanding,

Lady Flora

by Morgan Locklear on Fri Oct 01, 2010 10:44 pm

Well, if you haven’t been thrown off the threads then I think I’ll be okay. Besides, how can I be high profile when you said yourself you didn’t know me? You contradict yourself a lot, it’s common when people lie.

You are not the victim here no matter how hard you hit yourself. You are the bully and I do believe you have met your match.

If you would like to avoid further embarrassment at having your flimsy posts dismantled you may address me privately. But since it is the attention you seek, I won’t hold my breath.

You will not scare my with a false report of bullying, I have a feeling they are already tired of your games. I know I am.

by BeautifulDistraction on Sat Oct 02, 2010 4:03 pm

Hey everyone!

I realize that this thread is one of the most active on the forums and SR has many followers of UoEM. However, just wanted to remind everyone that the number one rule of the forums is to be nice.

Now back to the discussions at hand!

  1. Anonymous says:

    What in the…

I didn’t realize that asking a question, period, was grounds for aggression and hate. Remind me not to end my sentences in question marks, so they cannot be construed as such. Even if they are questions. Wouldn’t want to take that chance. No.

    • BOO! says:

Twankhard, I need to bitch here!
You REALLY need to put up some kind of warning, before people read this.
      Something like:
“Read at your won risk, may cause laughter induced aneurysm. Readers have reported, bleeding from the eyes and snorting their coffee on company owned mac books. We take no responsibility for assciated medical bills or ruined office equipment.”

  2. Nana Nonnie says:

She dared to invade their territory to ask a valid question? The fuck you say!

  3. Garth says:

    That’s like…..idek.

Further proof that the joke is truly on the fands of that godawful fic. I’m sorry, but doesn’t anyone else see how the entire story was a VICIOUS satire of the twifandom? How twanky is that? And that his/HER bitchass followers who have the balls to say that they want to promote “positivity”. PLEASE. I have a good feeling I know exactly who SR is. And she’s just laughing all the way to her bitter bank.

    I can’t even. … It’s just…

    • garth says:

oh man, it’s early, i have grammar issues. but dude, reading this kind of twank before I’ve had my coffee makes my brain melt. crazy bitches ftw.

    • thankfuckimnotawriter says:

      Spill it!

    • Anonnnie says:

I’ve been saying UoEM is a satire for the longest! It’s so goddamn obvious, too, and that’s what kills me the most about the rabid fans of this fic; they’re being lampooned and they don’t even realize it.

      • Anonymous says:

I’m not disagreeing at all, but I looked at that fic from one POV for so long that it’s difficult to see it another way. Would you mind elaborating on how it is a satire on the fandom? I swear I just really am curious and I can’t remember a lot of the story anymore.

        • Anonnnie says:

It references A LOT of fandom trends and cliches, then ratchets them up way past ridiculous (BDSM, Jacob as a psycho ex, etc…). I started to get suspicious around chapter nine or so, but became truly convinced of its being a satire during the big ‘Edward takes Bella’s virginity’ chapter. It is hysterically funny, and the chapter I most felt screamed tongue-in-cheek.

Seriously, if you’ve got a copy you should re-read it.

  4. anonny nonny says:

I really have so much to say, but can sum it up with 4 words:

    Those bitches are crazy.

    and 4 more:

    Run for your lives.

    • oh jeebus says:

Your summaries are perfect. I’m practically speechless after reading all that. There are just no words.

      • tattletale says:

What? Speak louder! I can’t hear you over the enormous superfan egos! This is just further proof that we, in the fandom, have created the BNA monsters. Just like we created the papparazzi by buying/demanding photos of famous people. I don’t think these authors set out to total fandom supremacy when they start writing…they are created but total fucking bat shit crazy readers!

    • AnonymousHonesty says:

Cray Cray doesn’t even begin. Sifting through THAT black hole is a hardship of it’s own. SO much mob mentality on Twilighted it’s ridiculous. And people are complaining about THIS site being wrong.

Mob mentality is wrong. You’re either WITH the Slores and Muses or you’re against them. Fall in line, shut the fuck up and praise or step aside and prepare to guard yourself from weapons of colorful font destruction.

      For SHAME! For REAL YO!

  5. Monkey Bum says:

    I miss the poll box.
Could we have one betting how many weeks until the Muses will meet in a secret sparkling society, dressing up in “Dantesque” garb and speaking Robichaudish as they do their Acts of Good?

  6. Anonymous says:

Twilighted is Social Retard Central – where people with super low self-esteem come out and join the mob to bully so hard they feel like they might actually have some self-esteem after all.

SR’S charity is ALL about drawing attention so the dumb masses will think ‘ooh, SR still loves the fandom and so generously offers an outtake.’ Fawn fawn. Slobber slobber. Why does “Morgan Locklear” sound so much like SR?

  7. oh jeebus says:

Yeah, this is why I’m almost never over on the Twilighted forums.

‘But it is lulzy, if not for the Jane Eyre comparisons alone.’

And jeez, really? I mean, I liked UoEM well enough, but comparing it to Jane Eyre? Jane Eyre is probably my fave book and comparing it to a piece of fanfiction is practically sacrilegious.

    • Anonymous says:

The REAL funny thing is how THIS thread is just highlighting all the wrong things wrong in this fandom. I’ve been reading the posts here for days watching high and mighty’ers get up in arms about how much THIS blog is ruining their fun.

LOOK here ladies The GRAND TITAN of Fics has a whole thread that is the real wrong. I like seeing people change their tune.

  8. Anonymously yours says:

I never realized wanting to know why a story was pulled could trigger dark memories of someone of being bullied in hs. The question was polite and valid and its sad to think that some of the women in this fandom are mothers raising children, when they act very childish themselves.

    • Anonymous for now says:

I always forget how a large portion of these ppl are moms, great a whole new generation of fuktards are being raised… Well, I guess not being raised bcuz their mommies are too busy on Twi. Here’s to hoping dad is doing a better job!

      • Anonymous says:

If they are moms there’s a lot of hypocrites crawling around. Making sure the children don’t bully but since they are adults they are allowed to bully.

  9. twankhard says:

We forgot to mention that Squally makes 8 or 10 posts during this, but later goes back and deletes them. God only knows..

    • Anonymous says:

      amazing, really

    • I'm not telling says:

Squally is the whole reason the “muses” are on their hackles…bc she was bullied on the thread- don’t you know.

*wipes away tear that is shed for all of humanity…and squally*

      • BOO! says:

I remember watching the telethon. *sniff* First time I cried since watching ET. Squally is an inspiration to us all.

    • Anon says:

She deleted her posts? What was she hiding?

      • Anonymous says:

        That she’s a shut in?

      • twankhardfan numberone says:

Haven’t you heard? Squally has deleted her posts so she can go back and check her spelling *SNORT*
I fucking wish- it would have saved me having to bleach my brain out every time I attempted to read her verbal diarrhoea.

        • BOO! says:

*chokes on coke from laughing at spelling excuse*

          • Anonymous says:

She never has difficulty spelling “I” or “me”. Strange.

I’m waiting for her to start referring to herself in the third-person:

“Squally likes the snarky narrator’s style and will now claim it as her own.”

This could lead to a complete psychological and emotional breakdown, though, as her first-person and third-person selves duke it out for dominance.

            • Anonymous says:

LOL. i hear a lot about this “squally” bitch, but who is she really? I saw that post here on Twankhard about Squally’s stupid little “fan fic” where Snowqueens Icedragon and SR went to the land of who gives a fuck because I couldn’t finish the first paragraph I was laughing so hard. God the fandom is getting scary, fast.

MBM was not rude WHAT-SO-EVER when she asked her question. I read and re-read it again, and still- no attitude detected on my end. I was bullied like a mother fucker in high school and I didn’t have any sudden flashbacks and the urge to write a multi-paragraph bullshit sobfest.

The whole time I was reading “The Muses’s” (GIVE ME A BREAK) comments to MBM, I was thinking “are they for-fuckin-real?? And to whoever pointed out that these people are mothers; you’re right, it is god damn terrifying.

What is the big deal with this story anyway? Every BNA story I’ve read has not been that spectacular, IMHO. Does anyone have a copy of this story, so I can see what the big damn deal is?

            • twankhardfan numberone says:

  10. anonny nonny says:

Maybe those batshit crazy fans of SR are actually in on the joke. If SR is who I think she is, then it would make sense for her motley crue to join in.

I can’t see how even the most fucking idiotic person could take MBM’s post and turn it into a trigger to childhood bullying. THAT right there really pisses me off.

PS. Still running for my life from them all.

            • Anon says:

It’s all falling into place. I had no idea about her connection with Omnific. I just knew about being a contact for the website. This blog is a brilliant addition to this fandom. We all can learn more here in a day than we ever could elsewhere. Bravo to Twankhard for this great resource for revealing the perplexing truth. Between the Blog posts and comments in response we get a fuller, more well rounded picture.

            • Anon E Mouse says:

I don’t see Nina listed there. Are all the staff at Omnific fic people? I know a few of the stories are former fics, but are all of them? They also need copy editors. It’s distracting to read a story and have punctuation in the wrong place or adding it where it doesn’t need to be. I guess the beta in me wants to take a red pen to some of their stuff.

Ones I know are former fics:
              Stitches and Scars
              Unidentified Redhead
              Boycotts and Barflies
              Trust in Advertising

              • Anonymous says:

OK, that’s strange. I didn’t post the link but I know I clicked on it yesterday and Nina’s name was definitely there. I specifically remember reading her bio about her being a forever student or something like that. I think her role with Omnific had to do with marketing. It’s all strangely been deleted since yesterday. Interesting.

                • Anonymous says:

I submitted a screencap a little while ago from Omnific’s website taken after I opened the above link. Nina was listed. Not sure Twankhard can use it because it might be considered old news by now but I wanted to tell you that I saw her listed too, and it is very strange that she is now NOT listed.

          • anonny nonny says:

I hope those ladies realize how hypocritical and downright bizarre they look chanting about love and anti-bullying, interspersed with the cruel, condescending, mob mentality-type comments.

    • sock says:

they don’t. This fandom is chock full of people lacking self awareness. I could give so so many examples, but that would require effort.

    Let’s be real here.

SR’s new charity post is ALL about garnering more attention and notice before OMNIFIC announces they are publishing UoEM under some shitty-ass new title.

I bet it will be dedicated to (his) MUSES and I bet it will be announced before the new year. Guaranteed it’s an Omnific title.

I’d like to note that Gondolier stopped by the UofEm thread to thank the posters for donating to “Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep,” the orgnization which was chosen after Sebastien Robichaud suggested a charity campaign. I doubt very much that she or her husband assume the idea was started as a publicity ploy. The donations and the charity mean a lot to her, as she stated. I’m sure you could find the post, which was made today.

For the record, I’m also not cynical about this endeavor. Of course, I do like UofEm and its author, and I don’t immediately assume others in the fandom are just trying to get attention when it’s reported that they are mortally ill. Your mileage may vary.

  13. Twilight Slush says:

Does anyone else think Morgan Locklear is SR??? Their writings are very similar.

And MBM asked a QUESTION in the nicest way possible. Who the fuck are these people?

  14. Anonymous says:

No, ML is not SR. SR is odd but not that odd.

  15. Ummmmm.... says:

I am shocked by this. I don’t go to Twilighted, so this is the first time I’ve seen this thread. What shocks me the most is how MBM asked a polite, non-aggressive question, but then got attacked for bullying and being aggressive. I felt while reading all of this that MBM asked one thing and it somehow turned into the most bizarre uproar. No matter what MBM said, it wouldn’t change everyone else’s tune.

MBM might as well have said, “I like tuna sandwiches.”, and then the rest of the posters went, “BAWWWWWWWW! She wants to kill dolphins!!!! DOLPHIN KILLER! Stone her!!!!!!!”

The irony here is with all this bully talk, everyone else was the bully. Not MBM. Not at all. And anyone who says/writes/believes otherwise is a fool.

    • Anonymous says:

MBM is a nice person so reading this I feel bad for her because those bitches are crazy and she didn’t deserve that just for asking a question is a nice and simple way.

Ask and you shall receive. I never knew it was ask and you shall be bitched out.

      • twankhardfan numberone says:

Yeah that’s the kind of response you get from unreasonable idiots. Hey didn’t someone once say that you can’t reason with unreasonable people- it definitely applies to these loons. Maybe it should be their motto of sorts -don’t they have some sort of UoEM logo – ” Don’t reason with us cause we’re unreasonable”. Maybe someone can translate it into Latin and pass it off to them -I wonder how long it would take for them to notice the meaning !LOL!

    • Some Random Person says:

I just have to tell you that I laughed until I cried reading your comment. Like seriously, there were tears streaming down my face. My boyfriend was pretty alarmed.

Your comment is so spot on. MBM was calm and polite throughout the whole thing and these people freaked the fuck out over nothing. Especially the person who wrote the screed about being bullied in school. That was really the most unnecessary thing I’ve ever read.

  16. Anonymous says:

And this is why I gave up reading the UoEM thread on Twilighted about 3000 pages ago, which is about the time they actually stopped talking about the story. It’s like high school in there, except I remember the cliques in high school being more mature.

    • LtotheAtotheMandE says:

Morgan Locklear wishes he either was SR or was doing him, I don’t think he can decide! Lets hope his wifey-pooh, who is a Sloor on the thread, doesn’t find out about the man on man love going down, can you imagine the carnage if the Sloors turned on one of their own! Think of the puppies!

The UoEM thread shows us in BIG BOLD COLORED LETTERS everything that is wrong with Twi FF Fandom. Interestingly that the head Sloor/fangirl is in fact the one and only BNR herself Squalloogal/Squally. The one who loves to throw a bullying claim or two or three is *GASP* actually the head bully. Oh irony how I fucking love you! I swear you couldn’t write this shit!

I hope with all that is SANE and NORMAL the crazy arsed bitches of that thread see what we all now see and that’s the cra cra up close!

I myself am off to a ring-side seat as those crazy arsed ‘Sloors’ start to cirlcle the Slortini glasses today! They will be coming for you Twankhard and I hope you are wearing a condom as you don’t know where those Sloors have been!

I was on that thread for a long time – I’m really curious which theories you’re talking about – I wonder if I was as much of a douche as the fanatics that run wild on there now are. Sadly, the answer is most likely a resounding YES. I cringe for my past loyalty to that story, its writer, and its fans.

I feel as though I’m finally coming back up for air after a really fucking bad acid trip. Although acid was a lot more fun and offered a better perspective than that thread ever did, now that I stop and think about it.

        • Anon says:

I don’t know who you are, but I can tell you that the answer would be a resounding NO. It’s 100 times worse over there now, not with the theories but with the douchy wankers and wtf.

It was all about the hidden meanings for the longest time over there, which was fun to guess at and follow from the sidelines, but any of those theories would have been better than what actually happened in the University of Edward Masen. Amiright? I wish there was a Botticelli print Mob connection or Human trafficking backstory. Not surprised that the thread blew up over from a visit from MaybeByMonday, who used to be an active poster, but she never backed away from her stances on the thread like others did and so the current active group over there pounced? I wish MaybeByMonday was treated better. It only makes that thread look even more terrible than it already did.

          • Anonymous says:

Seriously, that story was just let-down after let-down. The discussion about the 7 black and white photos was WAY more interesting than what they actually were. You clearly have been reading the thread since way back – those are some old theories.

I wish MBM was treated better too – and I wish SR would answer the damn question.

            • Anonymous says:

Don’t forget the theory that Peter was an axe-murderer. Good times. Those days were actually fun.

              • Anon says:

Who can forget reading that discussion? He could fit her in his suitcase I guess. In pieces. Now that would have been been something in a story. *laughing* Instead SR had him playing with Dante figurines (wtf) and buying her a fish (more wtf). That thread was so much fun to follow back then. The theories ended up being far more inventive and exciting than reality. It seems like many original posters on the thread sensed the epic fail brewing and left at a perfect time. It was nice to follow while it lasted though. Very funny and memorable moments. MBM and the other intelligent and fun posters who left really did’t miss much but their lack of posts were obvious to anyone who looked at that thread from the beginning. Downhill after that exodus, total detectable shift. Who could blame them? They were smart to get out of that thread when they did. SR let his readers down by wanking, so really wise too. They obviously sensed what most didn’t. They were smart. Probably why MBM was treated so badly after asking a relevant question. The posters are afraid of the Beta and Squally. 2 main reasons at least. Anyone really looking at that thread the day the story disappeared can see it for what it is.

I am so happy this blog now exists. The truth will finally come out. It was also nice to relive some fun conversations with you. You remind me of what was fun about following those threads once upon a time. *g*

            • Anon says:

I’m grinning now, and that’s a rarity when thinking about that thread. The picture discussion was an interesting one. And then Masen had to take them down *sad puppydog eyes* That is when that thread was a really fun place to follow. After a while a few really interesting posters left (MBM was one of those posters). A very few of the early posters remained but the conversation was never what it was. I cringe not so much at what the thread was then, but what it is now. That used to be a great thread to follow. That was back when readers could believe that the clues could actually mean something – that was when readers were dreaming bigger than the peeing in the woods wtf SR ended up forcing readers to accept – It was all a huge let down in the end, wrapped up in a perfect and super neat shiny bow for not only this life together but for the next (their souls). I liked the outlandish theories so much better. The redemption was fine and happy and feel good but I was hoping for a gruesome death or something shocking, something out of the ordinary. I’m bitterly disappointed. LOL

              • twankhardfan numberone says:

Yeah the story could have gone so many places and then it just went……..the predictable route. The peeing in the trees and Squally entering that thread with her fucked up rants was the end of all ends. Totally disappointing

Thanks for reminding me why I stopped hanging out on the Twilighted boards. The only one who got “bullied” was MBM.

MBM, if you find this, come join the dark side. We may talk shot but we don’t hate people for asking legit questions. Yet,

  24. Anonymous says:

I remember a few years ago, I wrote fanfiction. Shitty fanfiction probably. Not the point. The thing is that (it was another fandom) we got 100 reviews with the whole story and some more ‘big ones’ got 500. And we were all ‘happy’, satisfied, whatever… because we knew that we weren’t the creators or big writers (not even normal professional writers) at all. The point was to share our fantasies with the real story, make them true somehow…
And I think Twilight fandom people don’t know this, or have forgotten with 1000 revs and more. I don’t know if it is sad or what, but mostly it’s plain pathetic.

    • twankhard says:

There was a time in this fandom when hitting your one-thousandth review was like hitting the lottery.

      • *singing the Doug themesong* says:

I just hit 150 reviews and I felt like a million bucks…I think it’s the people who’s egos have grown a little much that feel like they are nothing if they have less than 1000 reviews.
I don’t usually review anything over 1000 (unless there is a legit question or I am ‘friends’ with them…and usually if this is the case, I’ll email them or tell them how I feel on gChat or FB) I rarely get replies from those that have over 1000 anyway. Why waste my words on someone who isn’t going to read it anyway.

        • BOO! says:

Congrats on your 150th!!! Actually I know an author who replies to all reviews and faves and she’s at 1.5 G They do exist, if you can be fucked sorting through all the bullshit.

        • Whatdoesitmatterifitwontshowanyway? says:

Um…as an author with a few thousand reviews under her belt, I gotta say this makes me sad. I LOVE getting reviews – yes, even those that aren’t blowing smoke up my ass and telling me how wonderful I am. I actually want to learn from posting on the internet, which is why I do it. I want to hear what readers think.

I make a concerted effort to reply to every review. Do I miss a few because I’m overloaded? Yes. Do I reply to every review that is just a smiley-face? Well, no…but I have replied to some. And I honestly do make the effort to reply to all of them.

As some people have heard me say a few times – to me, not replying to a review is like just ignoring someone when they tell you they like your shoes. It’s just so rude. That said, I do understand that if you get like 500 reviews/chapter it may not be feasible to reply to them all (I get like 130/chapter and finding time is difficult). But please don’t think that just because you don’t get a reply your review is not read and greatly appreciated.

How do you think we all get such tremendous egos, if not for your reviews? Please – keep them coming.

Yes, this was douchey. The SR fans probably took things a little far…but it is mentioned that in earlier posts MBM wasn’t so nice. It could be a valid thing to not believe that she wanted to *just* ask a question.
I’m not saying that I agree with what happened…I’m saying that perhaps a few of MBM’s posts started out nicely like this, but turned into something a little more douchey. Perhaps the members of the thread decided that they weren’t going to fall for it again.

Moral? I don’t think they know the concept quite well… maybe more REAL literature and not so many fanfiction would make them grow a real free mind.

      And I love your name…

    • I'm not telling says:

In response to cookiemonster : ‘Twilighted forums are for the feeble-minded sheeple. The beatings will continue until morale improves!’

      1) copyright ‘sheeple!
      2) beatings for moral for the win!

“The beatings will continue until morale improves!”

      Love it!

I enjoyed UoEM just like everyone else out there, however, I never cared too much for the author, or the “I have to kiss SRs ass or he/she won’t write more” fans. I’ve never gone overboard when a fic gets pulled, or cry when I can’t read the next chapter.

For fuck’s sake people, it’s just fan fiction!!!

  37. Anonymous says:

Okay. I’m an author and this DISGUSTS me. Any author could put a stop to it simply by telling them to knock it the fuck off. SR just encourages it.

I just have to say…if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. I had a moderate following with a fic, some people liked it, some people didn’t, but when things got a bit too heated, I stepped back. (IK I can’t say who I am but if I could, I would because I don’t care.) There was no big flounce. No epic tantrum with threats to pull my stories. No Twitter meltdown. And no, I’m not going to publish or copyright any fanfiction story i’ve written for fun. I’d be mortified.

  38. People Who Live In Glass Houses says:

I have a twank for you to report. You need to report the comments section in this very twankhard posting. I love you and this blog, but this is as bad as the UoEM thread they’re all raging against.

And, the one that is a translation needs to rhyme.

“Bato, bato sa langit, ang matamaan huwag magagalit. (Literal transalation: Stone, stone in the sky, whoever gets hit, don’t be mad.)

BTW, it’s also as bad as any of SR’s A/Ns.

    • twankhard says:

Except we aren’t advertising the Twankhard comments section as SPREAD THE LOVE GOODNESS AND RAINBOWS! Everyone knows what’s going down here. It’s the purpose, not some wayward tangent.

    • ROFL says:

this isn’t a glass house. it’s a fucking citadel! the whole point is throwing stones.

IMO, it’s much better than sitting in our glass houses, pretending to be nice when we’re really taking to gchat and twitter and talking behind eachother’s backs.

      refreshing actually.

  39. nonnie says:

I wonder how many “Muses” on that thread touch themselves to the thought of SR reading them Dante in bed?

It’s a perfect example of how fucking crazy everyone is.

  40. Anon So I'm Not Smothered In My Sleep says:

This further solidifies my theory that SR might infact be the AntiChrist (lots of talk about Hell in that fic of his/hers), and the Cultish Twilight Fandom is where he has decided to kick off his quest for our souls.

It’s the end of days i tell you!

Thanks for the LOLZ. You guys have turned sarcasm into a fine art.

There needs to be a twank solely about Morgan Locklear because damn…head up own ass.

I really think those forum girls jumped on a post that appeared to be curious in nature; however, there is mention of prior negative posts. What exactly did MBM say before that pissed them off? Perhaps if that was known, then their attacks would make a little more sense.

And did I read correctly that MBM hasn’t read UoEM or at least finished it? Why would someone go on a thread for a story they haven’t even read?

    • Anonymous says:

She’s read it – trust me. If you filter search posts, it is very clear she was an active participant on that thread for a long time. The first of several incidents leading up to this current cluster-fuck of disproportionate anger towards MBM started with a few comments between her and another person on the thread that were deemed less than 150% sycophantic fangirl approved.

If you have to say something about that thread, that story, or that writer, it had best be cheer-tator-tastic or it’ll be your ass.

    • twankhardfan numberone says:

It’s bascially the usual story that goes for the twi threads but multiplied by 100 for the UoEM thread:if you don’t agree with the story or writer and God forbid post something that sounds logical and sane they crucify you. Those psychos are the ones that deem a post as “negative” which basically translates to : “If you don’t agree with us or anything SR writes then fuck off and don’t comment or we will denounce you and flame you for the rest of eternity”.
MBM has always been polite and logical, something those loons are not. They just magnify everything by 100x with their ridiculous nonsense. Given the ridiculous melodrama of the actual story, I’m not suprised to see the same melodramatic shit play out on that thread.

  42. Anonymous says:

Do you guys pick and choose what comments get on here? I posted a comment and it said it was being moderated, then it wasn’t posted.

    • twankhard says:

We haven’t unapproved a comment yet. We do edit out the pennames though, which is why we moderate them. We have it set that users only need moderated once, but we’re not sure how it works. Some people get to post straight away, while others get put in the queue.

  43. twankhardfan numberone says:

I totally blame Squally for all the fuckery on that thread. WTF? I thought she promised to leave us the fuck alone with all her fuckery and leave the fandom or some such shit? She’s one fucked up individual. I wouldn’t be suprised if she was held in some padded cell, restrained in a strait jacket and given internet access by a group of shrinks who are researching the effects of letting loose bipolar megalomaniacs on the internet and the subsequent chaos that ensues……..Result? See the UoEM Twilighted thread. Fuckers need their heads examined.
They wanna do some charity work? How about raising funds to teach Squally how to spell properly? (With all the time she spends online she could have learnt by now). Or maybe self funding their own psychiatrist fees. Would this not be a good cause for all of humanity?

  44. Anonymous says:

THANK YOU for writing this. Seriously. After someone on Twitter mentioned UoEM being pulled, I went to the forum to see if SR gave a reason. I admit, I had began reading it, but quit after the millionth fruit platter and them having sex.
I couldn’t stop laughing reading at all SRs ‘muses’ comments. People crying, having blind faith in ‘him,’ and willing to donate money to read the story just made me want to vomit. Seriously. This is FANFICTION. Not srs bsns.

  45. Who Me? says:

I subscribed to the infamous SR’s blog, & this this long ass teaser used to fill my inbox and I read it -er, I mean I read the first line before I deleted it. But I noticed the RETURN addy for the email is this:

So gmail asks do I want images displyed and I say sure, why the hell not & I get this confirmation:

External images from will always be displayed.

    • AnonymousHonesty says:

Is that why The Wingman hasn’t been updated in forever and a day? She’s Sebastien Robichaud?

      • Fandomitis says:

I doubt she is SR. She mentioned once before when asked directly about the emails, that she helped SR with the site and set up the feedburner for them. SO that would explain the email address. That tidbit came from a thread on ADF that tried to ‘out’ her as SR. To my knowledge she hasn’t actually confirmed nor denied it, though I don’t know if anyone ever asked her.

        • Anon E Mouse says:

Is SR publishing with Omnific? If Nina is the person who was scorned and she is SR, why would she go the route of them? I think SR is probably a dude. Is Sebastien Robichoud his real name?

          • Fandomitis says:

No, Nina’s not the ‘scorned’ one. The one doing the talking is the one that is pissed and she’s spilling info left and right. I don’t know if any of it is true.

As far as I can tell Nina never said she was no longer with them.

I agree. I think SR is a man. I know it’s not popular opinion but I can’t imagine a woman writing that. Though, stranger things have happened.

          • Anonymous says:

Wait. Where did this “scorned” person come from? Is this someone that once has a place with Omnific or something else entirely?

  46. nonbeliever says:

I am a fan of this story, but do not visit the Twilighted thread (fortunately, as it turns out).

I am speechless at the attitude of the “muses”-someone writes a respectful post, simply asking a question that many have wondered about, gets attacked, then the attackers turn it around on her, accusing her of being rude and out of line? Wow. Since when is asking a simple question a crime? Why does everyone on the forum tread so lightly around this issue? Or perhaps it’s not an issue to them b/c they’ve already saved their copy on their computer, so why worry about anyone who hasn’t and would like to be able to finish the story? As much as these hypocrites jump to defend SR( from what idk-a question?), you can bet a lot of them have done just this, despite his worldwide “copyright”.

  47. Anonymous says:

This popped up on the thread today:

“And this word intimidated keeps coming up, to which I say, BAH!

Everyone on this thread is fascinating, intelligent and worth hearing. So don’t hang back or second guess yourself. Believe me, we’re eager to hear your ideas and learn from you.”

I don’t suppose the topic of this particular blog post or any similar incidents had anything to do with new posters being intimidated. They treat people that posted there from the beginning like complete crap – newbies should feel intimidated. It is only “welcoming” for those first few red-carpet welcome posts (which are trite as hell, by the way), and then they either ignore you or attack you if you don’t play by their rules.

    • anonymous says:

      Yes, *fascinating*.

Whenever I see photos of guinea pigs/rabbits/whatever dressed up in dolls clothes and having them pose with UoEM fuckery, the word that springs to mind the most is *fascinating*.
